What a Verified badge means

Verified sellers and providers

Before the badge appears, we check:

• A government ID card or passport, front side readable
• A selfie of the person holding that same ID
• The name and photo match, reviewed by a member of our team
• The ID is not on our list of banned identities

It confirms who the person is. It does not guarantee the quality of their goods or work — read reviews and use protected payments.

The flag on the shield

The flag shows where the seller is based, taken from the location on their profile. Cameroon-based sellers show Cameroon's flag. Diaspora professionals show their country's flag, or a globe if they have not named one.

Scout-verified properties

Only properties marked scout-verified have been visited. A scout checks:

• A scout visited the property in person
• The photos match what is on site
• The address and neighbourhood are correct
• The person listing it is the owner or has the owner's permission
